Hello everyone! Welcome to my Stacking the Shelves post this week. You can find out all about the meme here. Basically, it’s hosted by Tynga over at Tynga Reviews, and it’s a way to share the books you received each week.
I have been insanely busy these last couple weeks, so it’s kind of a good thing that I haven’t received too many books lately! I didn’t feature my library checkouts this time around, just because I checked out quite a few books…
But anyways, here’s my small yet lovely haul!
Bought
- The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan- AHH this book!! I finally got it after a whole stinkin’ year of waiting, and now that I’m done, I have to wait another year! And that cliffhanger is totally killer. *sobs* But hey, at least the wait will make the next book that much sweeter! But Rick Riordan really outdid himself again. I love reading his books, and can’t wait for more!
- Skinny by Donna Cooper- I won this from Bekka @ Pretty Deadly Reviews. Thanks Bekka! <3 It sounds like a totally fabulous read, really deep and touching. So I can’t wait to dive into it!
That’s it for me! What did YOU get this week?
AGHHH I am DYING to read Mark of Athena, especially after everyone keeps saying how fantastic it was! I don't own any of Rick Riordan's books though so I'm on the wait list at my library...but I kinda didn't do it until later. 114 will read it fast, right?! haha...i'm doomed to wait forever. And Skinny does look so good, I picked up an ARC at ALA but still have yet to read it. I hope you love it!

Ah, I still have to read Rick Riordan's books! It's insane, I'm like the only person who hasn't touched his books yet. :O I still have to read Skinny! I got it a couple of months ago from NG and haven't read it yet.. congrats for winning it! Happy reading Aneeqah!
ReplyDeleteI would really like to read skinny. Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't started that series yet (I've only read the first 3 Percy Jackson books so far, but I loved them!), but my husband is a huge fan. :) And Skinny sounds like a great read from everything I've heard! Happy reading. :)

I really need to read something by Rick Riordan already. I read the first couple chapters of The Lightning Thief as a sample on my Kindle and adored it and yet I still haven't scooped up any of that man's books. I really need to fix that. I'm glad you're enjoying them though, makes me want to devour them even more. :]
ReplyDeleteYay for Mark of Athena! I got it this week too. Have you started it yet? It's great!

DeleteI haven't read any of the Heroes of Olympus series, but I love the Percy Jackson series. (I have read three of them) I really want to read skinny. It sounds great. I am big on contemporaries that are about serious issues.
ReplyDeleteI hate cliffhangers! Sorry you have to wait. Skinny does seem like it would be a good read. Nice haul. :)
